PRE-COMPLIANCE TESTING

CTS can perform electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) unintentional emissions pre-compliance testing in our state-of-the-art anechoic chambers at our Draper facility. FCC compliance is paramount for electronic devices sold in the U.S.

The FCC enforces the regulations that dictate the amount of electronic noise that can be emitted from electronic devices at certain frequencies. If a device cannot comply with their requirements it has to be redesigned or modified before it can be sold.

Before undergoing full compliance testing, CTS advises clients to schedule a pre-compliance test early on to determine any potential concerns or areas where the product may not pass compliance testing.

EMC Measurement Services

We specialize in Unintentional Emissions, Intentional Transmitters and Immunity / Susceptibility testing.

EMC measurements are required by most governments throughout the world. EMC is an important compliance issue for equipment manufacturers. With the increased use of wireless communications, the potential for interference is also increasing. CTS has fully equipped facilities located in Salt Lake City and Draper, UT; including 10 and 3 meter chambers, needed to perform the EMC measurements you require. CTS is accredited by NVLAP (Test Lab Code 600293-0) to perform emission and immunity measurements to a wide range of international and domestic regulatory standards. Our Scope of Accreditation is available here.

CTS EMC Testing Services

Unintentional Emissions

CTS has testing facilities capable of emissions measurements at 3 and 10 meters. Each of the sites are accredited by NVLAP and listed with Industry Canada (IC) and comply with the Normalized Site Attenuation (NSA) and Site Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (SVSWR) requirements given in ANSI/IEEE C63.4 and CISPR 16.
